Innovative Homes - A Southern Ute CompanySouthern Ute Indian Tribe Seal

Imagine a building project where you don’t have to worry about weather delays or whether or not your subcontractors are going to show up.

Imagine a project that rejects cookie-cutter appearance in favor of thoughtful design.

Imagine a project that costs less to build in less time but has more value.

Imagine a project that brings together high quality, affordable, environmentally friendly style and delivers it to your doorstep.

Well, you don’t have to imagine anymore…that is system-built construction.

What is a System-Built Home?

System-built homes, sometimes referred to as "modular homes," are constructed in sections in a climate-controlled factory by skilled craftsmen using precise machinery and methods. System-built homes adhere to the same building codes as conventional site-built construction. Once the home is placed on a foundation, it is impossible to distinguish it from a site-built home. Banks, financial institutions, mortgage companies, appraisers and insurance companies classify system-built homes as equivalent to site-built homes.

Better Quality

Built with greater structural strength to withstand transport and craning into place, system-built homes use more framing lumber than site-built homes. System-built construction materials are never exposed to harsh weather conditions which can cause mold and warped lumber in site-built homes.

SITE-BUILT HOME EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS

Better Value

System-built homes benefit from the economies of scale that result from purchasing larger quantities of building materials. As a result, builders are able to negotiate better prices and pass these savings on to the buyer. Cost per square foot is typically 15 to 25% lower than site-built homes of comparable quality.

Speed of Construction

System-built homes are typically built, delivered and installed in less than half the time of site-built homes. Weather delays and subcontractor no-shows, which cost time and money, are also greatly reduced.

Better for the Environment & Energy Efficient

System-built homes are better for the environment. Through efficient use of construction materials, they generate 50% less waste than site-built homes and 90% of that waste is recycled at the factory. System-built homes have enhanced levels of insulation, making them 80% more air-tight than site-built homes. As a result, system-built homeowners may receive a substantial savings on energy costs. System-built homes are built to “Built Green” specifications and have the ability to be Energy Star rated.
